Ruffmutz Puppy Platinum is my exclusive premium VIP Puppy training package, aimed at giving you comprehensive support from the day your puppy comes home. This training package is focused on building solid foundations through puppyhood, keeping you on track right through adolescence, and supporting you to achieve reliable training and harmony in the home through the first year of life.
Suitable for puppies 16 weeks or younger when starting the package.
What does Puppy Platinum include?
I have developed Puppy Platinum over many years to give comprehensive, tailored training and support for owners and puppies. The package includes over 25 hours in-person one-to-one training with me, plus so much more for you and your VIP puppy. Over the course of the first year of your puppy’s life, I will cover:
Puppy to 6 Months
The first six months includes:
- Platinum Puppy Gift Box
- Pre-Puppy, or New Puppy session via Zoom: Get a plan together before puppy comes home! I will cover all the initial questions; what to expect? Where will puppy sleep? What to do in the first few days? Toilet training? We will discuss planning puppy’s journey home from the breeder, setting up puppy’s own area within your home, and loads more!
- Access to my online Puppy Quick Start resources area on my website
- 1x initial in-home session: I will cover all the foundations, from settling your pup in, to cracking on with toilet training, to building a relationship, to settling in with other resident pets. During this session, I will also establish a plan with you for training so that all the family can be involved.
- 4x one to one follow up sessions – in home or environmental. All my training sessions are tailored to your life and your puppy, so these sessions are versatile. For example, we may cover training such as settling while food is prepared, being comfortable alone, essential foundation training skills, walking in the neighbourhood, travelling in a vehicle, grooming, park visits, as well as many other possibilities!
- 1x Midweek Puppy Sitting session (3hr max), so you can have a meal out or go to the cinema!
- 1x half day Day School: A 3hr one-to-one training session, tailored to you and your puppy’s needs; whether you want to spend a morning around the house, go out on a trip around town, visit an environment where you and your pup are likely to spend time like work or family, I will make sure we tick all the boxes.
6 Months – 1 Year
Adolescence can be a particularly challenging time for some dogs, as they go through various physiological changes that can have an impact on their behaviour. I understand how hard this can be for both owner and dog, so with the Puppy Platinum training package, you can continue to have regular support as those hormones kick in, keeping everyone on the right track for the future.
- 6x monthly in home or environmental sessions: training sessions aimed at working on the skills that will help you and your dog feel comfortable and enjoy life together, in the environments you intend to spend time in. Depending on your interests and requirements, I will cover introductions to some fun activities for you and your dog to participate in together at this stage. This might cover scent detection, tracking & trailing, or other sports foundations, restricted exercise games in case they’re ever needed, body handling & husbandry/grooming behaviour, tricks; it really is a very long list!
- 1x half day Day School: Another 3hr one-to-one training session, or 2x shorter sessions if preferred, tailored to your needs.
- 1x Introduction to Scent or Tracking session
The Puppy Platinum training package also includes a free catch up session when your puppy is 18 months old.
I have designed Puppy Platinum to be extremely customisable to suit you and your dog. If your pup thrives with shorter sessions, I will offer extra sessions, so you never lose time. I will discuss all options with you to ensure you’re getting the best training for you and your puppy. Training sessions can be taken as one-to-one sessions, Puppy Home Train sessions, or Training Walks and Day Trips.
Additional Support
Puppy Platinum also includes:
- WhatsApp support (within business hours) between sessions. I will be available to answer any questions, or help with any puppy related problems!
- Free space on my Puppy Smart Start, Puppy Power Confidence Workshops, or Star Awards class, as well as discounts on Scentwork and follow-up sessions.
- Priority appointment times (where possible)
Please note all sessions must be completed by the time your pup is 15 months of age.
Is Puppy Platinum right for me?
Puppy Platinum is ideal for first-time puppy owners, and/or owners wanting to invest for the years ahead, ensuring that life with their new pup begins with tailored, ongoing support and guidance from an experience dog trainer. I have designed all the puppy training to be versatile, but Puppy Platinum is ideally suited for puppies 16 weeks or younger at the start of the package. You can even book when your puppy is still with the breeder and coming home soon!
The total cost for this package is £1550, paid as an initial £400 deposit to book, a second payment of £600 within 4 weeks after your start date, and a final payment of £550 within 8 weeks after your start date. Alternatively, please contact me if you would prefer to make the payment in full at the time of booking.
Puppy Platinum training is available within Huddersfield and surrounding area. I may be able to cover further afield on request, but please be aware that travel costs will be payable.
